'Birds' von Franz Marc

One of the greatest master pieces from Franz Marc is displayed at the Lenbachhaus. In 1914 Marc painted "Birds" using oil paints. When looking at the painting "Birds" at first you don't see the numerous birds in the painting. You're not sure what you are looking at, is it a shape or one of his birds. As if you are looking through a prisma, the brightness of the painting breaks open. If you look carefully you can count at least three birds in the colourful painting. However these animals are almost drouning in the many shapes and colours such as blue, green and red.
